Seize the Cupcake!

KC bday copy I bought this set back in February and this is only the 2nd time I've used it.  It's one of my favorite sets.  It's called Clear Design Cupcakes from Hero Arts.

I made this card for my nephew.  His birthday is Saturday.  The patterned paper is from Scenic Route Paper Co.  I colored the cupcake with my WONDERFUL copic markers and added some icing bling with my Martha Stewart glue pen and glitter.  The cherry was added with a pop dot.

This was a very easy card to make and I like the layout.  I'm really thinking I should make a few while I'm feeling motivated tonight!

Becky who?

Or at least that's how I feel!  I think it's been over a month since my last post.  I have been preoccupied with my new position at work and it has taken its toll on me.  I'm just now getting to where I can sleep at night and not dream about work!  Nothing is more tiring than the stress of learning a new job and then coming home and dreaming about it!  Not only has it been tiring for me but my creativity has suffered because of it.  I've been too tired to be creative!  Now that's bad!

Anyway, I decided to get back into the swing of things tonight.  One of the last things I wanted to make before I got in this creative funk was Jen del Muro's mini pizza box.  I made a set of little note cards to put in it as a gift for a friend of mine.  I used the little penguin stamps from Snag'em Stamps along with the matching paper.  I colored them in using my copic markers and embellished with my bella baubles.  Quick and simple and hopefully on my way out of this creative funk!

Changito Thank U!

002_copy Well, I guess it's been awhile since my last post, hasn't it?  I've had a lot going on both at home and with work.

I am now in my second week of a new job. I have worked the last 20 years in the district attorney's office and was offered a position working with a district court judge in our county a few weeks ago.  His court coordinator of 30 years retired.  Talk about some big shoes to fill!  Needless to say, I've had a lot on my plate.  I have had to train my replacement while getting as much training in my new position as I can.  Fortunately for my replacement in the DA's office, I am still within the building and can help her at any time.  Me, on the other, not so fortunate.  However, having worked in the court system for almost 20 years, the transition hasn't been too bad.

With all that I've had going on, this past weekend was my first weekend to stamp in a few weeks.  This cute little monkey is from the Changito collection from Stampendous.  I colored him in with my copic markers.  The background paper is from Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  The brads are lime green brads covered with green fun flock  also from Stampendous.  The colored cardstock is Bazzill.

One more Elvis

002_copy I was needing a thank you card for a lady at work and thought this was perfect.  If you know me or anything about me, this totally screams BECKY out loud!  I used another one of my Elvis stamps from CHF.  The paper is from the Pocket full of Posies Stack from DCWV.  I also added a little bling in the corners.  I hope my friend likes it.

More organic carrots

084_copy I think these little carrots are so cute and fun!  They are from Lockhart Stamp Company and I bought them from Ellen Hutson.  I used my swiss dots Cuttlebug embossing folder on my orange bazzill and layered it over a white card.  I colored my carrots with my Copic markers and I also colored the clear bauble from Michael's with my orange Copic marker.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.  It's a wide wired ribbon but I took the wire out.  I really like these colors!
