Stamping in my PJ's!

Happy Easter!

It's hard to believe that Easter is only a week away!  I haven't even made reservations for my dogs at the kennel yet!  Every year we go to my in-laws in Austin, Texas. They live on Lake Travis, so it is always a nice trip. 

 

I had a little time to play this afternoon and this is what I came up with.  I found this cute little bunny stamp at Hobby Lobby on Thursday which was 50% off.  I paper pieced him using some cute paper from My Mind's Eye that I bought from Michael's a few weeks back.  The sun is, again, a technique by Becky Olsen that I've used in a recent post.  The sentiment and egg is from PTI's Egg Hunt.  I used the PTI egg die with patterned paper from My Mind's Eye stack and then stamped it with a stamp from Egg Hunt in Raspberry Fizz.  I used my Martha Stewart grass punch for the two layers of grass.  I am really liking the bright colors on kraft cardstock!

Hi!

I'm enjoying a quiet night tonight and taking complete advantage of Hayden spending the night with my sister!  It's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't have your 6 year old coming into your room every 5 minutes checking on you.  I knocked out a few quick cards tonight and this little cutie . . .

This is a springtime version of a project I made back in October as a teacher's gift for Hayden's kindergarten teacher.  It's a box full of gourmet bubble gum that I found at my local Home Goods store.  The acetate box is from Papertrey Ink.  I cut a piece of New Leaf cardstock to fit inside the box to give it some sturdiness.  After filling it with my bubble gum, I closed the box up and tied green gingham ribbon around it.  The ribbon is from Basic Grey and I found in the $1.99 Hot Spot at Archiver's several months back.  I decorated my box with Basic Grey stickers from their Sugar Rush collection that I purchased from Archiver's as well.  The fabric flower is from Basic Grey, too.  I used felt adhesive letters from Making Memories and buttons from Papertrey Ink.

On a final note . . . What a hottie!  Three of my girlfriends and I got to see Keith Urban at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this past Tuesday night.  This was my 5th time to see him and it never gets old! 

Birthday Wishes

It's been awhile since I've posted.  I am still stamping, just not as much as I'd like to.  Life can sometimes get away from you, especially with a busy 6 year old boy running around the house!  Hayden is in kindergarten this year and has been busy with gymnastics since last July.  He's a busy man!

Anyway, I did a little blog hopping last week and came across this card for the inspiration for my card.  I just love Becky's little sun technique.  Plus, I really wanted to break in my new sewing maching.  It's nothing fancy but I'm not a seamstress either!

The card base is kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  The flower stems are stamped using blooming button bits from PTI and the buttons are from PTI as well.  The paper used for the sun is from Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety 6x6 Mini Deck.  I can't wait to use more of this deck!  Such cute patterns!  The paper used for the grass is from Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts' Birthday Messages set.

Quick and easy!

Especially these days, I love quick and easy.  This was a simple little card that I made at a weekend stamp gathering.  The card measures 5 1/2" square.  The circle background is a coaster that came in a package of 30 I purchased from Hobby Lobby for $2.99.  I used my Labels One die from Nestabilities, the Cute and Curly stamp set and punch from Stampin' Up, and the Take A Bough stamp set from PTI. 

Seize the Cupcake!

I bought this set back in February and this is only the 2nd time I've used it.  It's one of my favorite sets.  It's called Clear Design Cupcakes from Hero Arts.

I made this card for my nephew.  His birthday is Saturday.  The patterned paper is from Scenic Route Paper Co.  I colored the cupcake with my WONDERFUL copic markers and added some icing bling with my Martha Stewart glue pen and glitter.  The cherry was added with a pop dot.

This was a very easy card to make and I like the layout.  I'm really thinking I should make a few while I'm feeling motivated tonight!
